Rites of Passage &

Life Transitions

Ceremonial experiences designed to support transformation, life thresholds and meaningful change across the UK and Europe.

What Is a Rite of Passage?

A Rite of Passage is a guided process that supports a transition from one stage of life to another.

Across cultures, these moments have traditionally been marked through ritual, ceremony and community.

Today, many people move through major life transitions without support, recognition or integration.

Rites of passage offer a way to consciously navigate change, creating a clear sense of before and after, and supporting the body, mind and spirit to move with the transition.

Transformational Rituals and Ceremonies

Life is filled with moments of profound transition. At times, the old ways of being begin to unravel, the ground beneath us shifts, and we may feel disoriented or uncertain.

These moments, though challenging, hold immense potential. Standing in this liminal, in-between space (on the threshold of change) offers the opportunity to:

- Release what no longer serves us

- Envision a future aligned with our deeper truth

- Take brave, intentional steps toward new ways of being

These transitions have long been marked by rites of passage, rituals and ceremonies designed to honour and navigate the journey from one phase of life to the next.

A Contemporary Approach

Our work brings these ancient practices into a modern context, offering experiences that are grounded, accessible and deeply intentional.

Rooted in the principles of Snake Medicine, we understand transformation as a cyclical process of shedding and renewal. Just as the snake releases its skin in order to grow, we too are asked, at certain moments in life, to let go of identities, patterns, relationships or roles that no longer fit.

When we resist this process, we can feel stuck or depleted. When we move with it, something vital begins to return.

Each rite of passage is a carefully held process, designed to support real-life transitions (personal, relational or professional) through ritual, embodiment and meaningful ceremony.

Serpent Blessings: an embodied Snake Medicine Shedding Ritual

Serpent Blessings is a transformative Snake Medicine ceremony for renewal and empowerment. In this collective ritual, we reclaim the serpent as a symbol of eros, creativity, and embodiment. You'll explore the principles and history of Snake Medicine, followed by a meditation, movement, and a potent shedding ritual.

The serpent teaches us to release outdated patterns, beliefs, and identities, inviting deep healing and restoration. From these master teachers we can learn how to shed old layers, outworn beliefs, patterns and ways of being.

Shed what no longer serves you and receive the goodness that is aching to find you.

Living Serpent: a Shamanic Community Healing Ceremony

Creating a living communal Serpent body together for a healing & blessing ceremony.

Drawing on spirit-boat shamanic traditions from Indigenous cultures worldwide, this ceremony invites us to become a living Spirited Serpent who will gather healing energy and direct it to the collective field.

In this shamanic group ceremony, participants collectively form a large living Serpent form.

Held by rhythm and drums, they will gather power from the spirit world and channel it into the body of the Serpent.

Each person holds intention for collective healing and blessing, and receives their own healing. The "head" of the Serpent direct the power into the collective.

The healing intention can be defined together and can be collective or individual.

Serpent Fire: a communal fire ritual of anchoring power

Serpent Fire is a beautiful fire ritual ideally placed at the end of a transformative workshop or training. It allows for powerful anchoring of the received wisdom and teachings in the body and sending intentions into the world.

We guide participants through a guided visualisation to an Asklepian incubation/healing chamber- the Greek Healing temples where people used to dream communally in the dark in the presence of nonvenomous snakes. Folks will find a personal sigil there: a symbol that distils the experience and essence of the week and anchors it. We then move into a fire ritual, working with the sigil, leading to a powerful imprinting on body and spirit.

Firewalks as Rites of Passage

Firewalking has been practiced for thousands of years for healing and transformation, as a ceremony to energise visions, for empowerment, to help when faced with challenges, for purification and as initiation.

It is one of the most ancient communal Rites of Passage ceremonies, marking important growth moments and transformations in life.

Personal Rites of Passage

As part of our Snake Medicine offerings, we create unique, personalised rites of passage ceremonies.

These are tailored to meet you at the threshold you are standing on, whether you are navigating an ending, stepping into a new beginning, or reclaiming a deeper part of yourself.

Each ceremony is designed with intention and care, offering a space to release, to honour what has been, and to consciously step into what is emerging.

The preparation and presence required for this work is significant.

When we say yes to a client, we commit fully and so we are selective about who we work with.

We work in co-creation with you as the owner or steward of your home and land, always. This is your space, not ours.

- We only begin work when all adult members of the household have given their full and informed consent.

- We do not impose interpretations, use fear-based language, or inflate the severity of what we find.

- We do not claim to "fix" people or places : our role is to support the restoration of right relationship, with respect for human agency and the spirit of place.

- Our shamanic work is verified by working as a duo : we only share what independently overlaps between our two journeys.

If at any point during the application process we feel the fit is not right, for you or for us, we will say so with honesty and care.

How to work with us

We design and facilitate rites of passage for individuals, groups and organisations, creating meaningful, well-held ceremonies to mark moments of transition.

You can work with us in a number of ways:

  • For Individuals: Personalised rites of passage to honour key life moments : such as birthdays, relationship transitions, endings and beginnings, or times of deep personal change.
Each ceremony is co-created with you, tailored to your intention and the threshold you are navigating.

  • For Groups & Communities: Ceremonies for gatherings, retreats and festivals, offering a shared space to mark collective transitions, deepen connection and create a sense of meaning and belonging.

  • For Trainings & Programmes: We collaborate with facilitators, retreat leaders and organisations to design rites of passage as part of a wider training or transformational container: supporting participants to integrate their journey through ritual and embodied experience.

What the Process Looks Like

  • Initial conversation to understand your needs, context and intention

  • Co-creation of the ceremony, drawing on ritual, embodiment and symbolic elements

  • Facilitation of the rite of passage, held with care, clarity and experience

  • Integration support, where needed, to help anchor the transition
